PLEASE READ BEFORE INSTALLING! IF YOU HAVE
ALREADY INSTALLED EVA'S EAR FROM A PREVIOUS
VERSION, YOU MUST FIRST REMOVE IT. To do
so, go to start, menu, control panel, and add
remove programs. Select EVA's Ear and remove it.

1. Click the download application icon
above. Depending on your system, one of the
following boxes will appear. Click Run to
proceed.
If the following appears, click open, you will automatically be taken to step 3.
2. If you get a
Security Warning stating the publisher could not
be verified, just click Run.
3. If you get
the following box, you do not have dotnetFrame
Work installed on your system. Click yes to
continue. If you do not get the following box, you
will automaicaly be take to step 4.
4. Once
Microsoft .NET 1.1 Framework is installed, you
will need to restart your computer.
4.2 After your computer has restarted, installation of EVA's ear
will resume. Click run to conitnue.
5. Welcome to EVA's Ear Setup. Click Next.
6. This is the default direcory. EVA will put it in your Program Files, Just click next.
7. The installer is now ready to confirm the install of EVA's Ear
on your computer. Simply click Next.
8. Installation is complete. Click Close.
9. EVA's Ear Application has been installed. Find the following
icon and click on it to open.
10. EVA's Ear
Caller Information. EVA needs to know your caller
id and password. Enter it in the specified fields
and click done. The Caller id and password are the
same information you use to access the EVA system.
Example: Caller ID: 10238 Password: johns
11. Scan Directory. EVA needs to know where your audio
files will be stored. Click browse.
12. At this
point, insert your EV.A.'s Ear in your USB port.
Follow the steps below: If any extra windows pop
up other than the one shown below, close them
and continue.
Select My Computer as shown below and click OK:
12.1 Your DSS
Player will have created another drive for you,
depending on your system drive letters may vary.
In this example it is the Removable Disk (E:)
Select it and choose DSS_FLDA as shown below and
click OK. This will complete the installation
process. Continue to step 13.
13. In the
right hand bottom corner of your task bar, find
the little red fork lift icon. Right click and
select Auto-scan Directory Active. This will
make sure that EVA finds any new recordings
uploaded to your computer.
That is it. Your done. Now you have the ability to upload your voice files through EVA's ear.
